Senior Dues
Senior dues for this year are $75.00 for each student and cover the cost of cap and gown, diploma, diploma cover and other graduation-related items. Dues can be paid through MySchoolBucks. Alternatively, a check can be made out to “Marshall High School” or cash can be brought to Mrs. Kathy Smith in the main office. If your family has financial difficulties, please contact your child’s counselor.
Senior dues do not include the cost of the senior trip, which is still in the planning stages. As in previous years, prom will also be an additional expense for seniors who choose to attend. More information about prom and the senior trip will be available in the coming months.
If your family would like to donate funds to help other seniors pay dues, attend prom or the senior trip, you can do so in one of three ways:
1) Go to MemberHub and donate to the Committee to Support Senior Students.
2) Donate through Venmo by sending your donation to: @GCMPTSA. Please note “Senior Support” in the comment section.
3) Make a check out to “Marshall High School” and write “Senior Class Donation” in the memo line. Checks can be brought to the main office and given to Mrs. Smith.
If you have any questions about senior dues, please email Dr. Heather Sondel at HBSondel@fcps.edu or Principal Litz at JDLitz@fcps.edu.

Baccalaureate Ceremony
Baccalaureate is a special service of inspiration and reflection to honor the senior class. This is a multi-faith, non-denominational service with music, speakers and remembrances from our seniors.
The Baccalaureate service is a relaxed, multi-faith service of inspiration, reflection, and celebration of the graduating class. It is a time-honored tradition at GCMHS and is sponsored by the PTSA. It is also designed and led by senior students. All seniors, their family, friends, faculty and staff are invited to attend. There is no connection to Marshall’s IB program, despite the coincidental name of this service.
The service will be held at Vienna Presbyterian Church (124 Park Street NE, Vienna, VA) on Wednesday, June 6th @ 7:00 pm. The program usually includes an invited speaker (often a GCMHS alum) musical selections from the school orchestra and choir as well as 2-4 graduating seniors who share faith reflections, memories, and humor regarding their years at Marshall.
Seniors wear their gowns but leave their caps at home.
Many who have attended the Marshall Baccalaureate in the past indicate that it is their favorite, most memorable aspect of the whole graduation experience. No RSVP is required.
