Statesmen Theatre End of Year Banquet Tonight!

    Statesmen Theatre Logo

Attention Statesmen Theatre Community! The cast and crews and parents of the 2017-2018 are invited to the End of Year Banquet at 7:30pm on Monday, June 4th at 7:30pm in C113 and C114. Join the Theatre Boosters for dessert and fun to celebrate our successful season together and to wish our beloved Theatre Director, Jason Tamborini good luck in his new endeavors.
Join us Monday, June 11th at 7pm in the Auditorium to meet the new Statesmen Theatre Director, Bernie DeLeo.  He is looking forward to meeting all students and  parents. Come learn about him, and share your questions, concerns and ideas for going forward in the new school year.

Make the ANGC a Night To Remember for our Seniors

We are hoping to NOT post any of these signs at activities or casino tables at the All Night Grad Celebration Wednesday, June 13h, at the Spring Hill Rec Center – but that means we need your help!
We still have some volunteer spots to fill.
Sign up today and you can help run a game, draw prize winners, work in the casino, staff the food and beverages area, or a security spot.
Volunteer spots are open to everyone in the Marshall community. If you have a younger student, this is a great way to find out what the event is all about.  Ask older siblings (21 and over please) home from college if they would volunteer.
You are coming to a party, so the time will go by fast (and we will have coffee, water and soda to keep you going!).

Food Pantry donations needed at Marshall

We have a population of food insecure students and plan to start a Food Pantry at Marshall High School.  For the 2017-18 School Year, we will begin distributing Friday Bags to approximately 25 students each week.  If you can, please sign up to donate a food item during one of the two weeks in June with openings.  You should drop your items off on Mondays at the Student Services Reception Desk.  IB and Octagon Club Students will assemble the bags on Tuesdays and Guidance Counselors will distribute the bags on Fridays.  If you are interested in joining the Food Pantry Committee next year, send and email to

    Sarah Shamlal.

  • Projectors Needed for New Classrooms — Help is just a Click Away
    Projectors Needed for New Classrooms
You Can Help From The Comfort of Your Chair….
This has been a successful campaign so far but we still need your help!  With the construction going on behind the school, your Parent Teacher Student Association has begun a fundraising effort to make the new 12 classroom module as student and teacher friendly as we can.
There are several things we can do to improve the facility:
    • We will purchase projectors for each classroom, just like those in every other classroom in the school.
    • We will provide a budget for teachers to creatively decorate or enhance their rooms.
    • We will help decorate the walkway between the main building and the new complex.
All of this will cost in excess of $8,000. The projectors are more than $400 each. The rest of the amount raised will determine just how much we can put toward the other two items.
    WHAT IS AN ARMCHAIR FUNDRAISER?
An armchair fundraiser is so-named because, in order to give, you don’t have to leave your chair. You just have to go online and make a donation. The link to that is pay4schoolstuff.com. Find the item titled Armchair PTSA Fundraiser. Then make as generous a donation as you can: $50, $100, or even $200. Every bit helps but remember we need to raise $8,000. Together we will make sure that the new modules are an interesting and useful extension of our building.
If you have any questions or any trouble making your donation, contact our President, Phil Pedlikin, at president@gcmptsa.com.
If you want to send us a check, please send it to:
    GCM PTSA
    George C. Marshall High School
    7731 Leesburg Pike
    Falls Church, VA 22043
You can also drop a check off at the front desk at Marshall.
We cannot thank you enough for your generosity, although we promise to try.
